Yes, it does look very similar, but in my opinion the face is a bit more correct for a deer. The papo one is lovely in its own right, but the muzzle is a little too narrow. I still can't get over the hobbit... What an exciting year it will be.

Oh, I was just ready to post it but how lucky I am that you did the job already!
First, it is a very beautiful presentation picture. Safari keeps introducing unusual species like the booby, squirrel and howler monkey, for instance. I love the white-tailed deer although I agree it is very close to Papo's design. I also don't understand very much why they are releasing it once their newer family is very good and recent. ... or is it a mule deer specifically? Well, I think it is now my favorite, pose is very natural. A feathered T-rex is a good idea too but I suspect I don't like its pose.
Watching again, both monkeys just look impressive and there is also a smiling gator.

It shouldn't be a mule deer, the color, and ears, and antlers are completely wrong. Mule deer tend to be more gray in color compared to whitetails, their antlers branch more upwards making them taller generally, and the ears are supposed to look like small satellite dishes on either side of their head. To me it looks like safari is redoing their already great whitetail family, if they are selling these as mule deer then I'd be disappointed.

No, don't be disappointed , I also think it is a white-tail, I was just trying to understand the reason why a new buck was being released. Maybe it is a Wildlife Wonders although I think it looks small in that composition.

I'm sure it is a whitetail, and now that you mention it it could be a WW model. So far they don't have many prey species in their north American range for WW, just bears, the cougar, wolves, and coyote and one lonely moose. It could use a deer or elk or buffalo for that line.

Oooooooooo! That husky! Can't wait to get my hands on that one! Also the blue footed booby is very appealing too.

I think the Deer is a WW model. its legs are thicker then usual

I hope there will come more mythology figures. A purple dragon and a hobbit only is low.

I  believe it is a Diana Monkey?? I wish a brand would make a Vervet Monkey--I know I am selfish toward African species!

The T-rex looks amazing but I'll wait too see pictures of this one in reality because I used to be disappointed by their dinos these last years.

These look awesome!  Thank you for posting this amazing picture.  I think like many people, the ones that interest me the most are the husky and the feathered T-rex.  The only issues might be scale because I know safari dinosaurs tend to be on the small side.  I tend to like 1:40 dinosaurs (although not always) and I'm not sure if this T-rex would fit in with the others.  He doesn't look like he could pull off being a juvenile either.  Quality-wise though, he's outstanding!  I wish I could get a better look at the azhdarchid in the background.  It looks awesome even if you can't see much of it yet.

I really liked the dumbo squid!

For me the howler monkey is the best :)

Yes, Most of Safari's T-rexes are not at all to scale to the others. But he looks great, - and at least he is not just army-green or brown as they have all been for some years now

Do I spy a Mosasaur?! Yes, I do! (Although considering Jurassic World´s sucess, it really is a little surprise that this beast gets a lot of attention now). And with a nice paint job too!

I have to agree, the feathered T-Rex looks quite good, and accurate! It´s position isn´t my favourite but it definitely looks great! Maybe this will be my first Safari dino...

And that squid looks adorable! And so does our good friend Bilbo! Fortunately for him, unlike Smaug, this dragon near him is far more interested in checking itself in the mirror than burning him.

It is hard to know. Actually I think we are knowing these news quite early, we are still in August and if I am not wrong, last year we knew it only in late October. The only way is to keep tuned everywhere, I am sure that as soon as some news drop, it will be posted here just as Takama did posting the picture exactly in the same day as it was posted on Safari's FB page.
