| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Amazing new sculpt by Deborah McDermott, I fell in love with it immediately after I've seen the first photo of a resin. I really like the pose, calm and gentle. Maybe the head and neck are a bit bigger for the rest of body, but Camargue horses are rather shorter, so it's quite acceptable. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Paintwork is simple, so it's not disturbing, I would only appreciate a bit of shadings here and there (e.g. on legs), but I definitely appreciate the shading of muzzle and eyes, it's better than the light grey on some other CollectA horses. Let her make a piroutte: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]No extreme pearshape: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Her head is really beautiful, with strong jaws and slightly convex nose and also realistic expression: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The sculpt is detailed, with lot of wrinkles, fur structure, she has painted chestnuts, but mine has one unpainted on the right foreleg: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And under the quite thick tail there is a vulva (my 2015 Hanoverian mare doesn't have it though her under tail area is more exposed): [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And finally some comparison: My only two Camargue mares, both are very nice: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And white lady between two black gentlemen: CollectA Friesian and Dartmoor pony: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thanks for your attention and I hope it was useful for somebody who is considering buying her (go and buy this beauty! ) _________________ I have two main passions: collecting and drawing animals Ars Animalium = Animal Art [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ars Animalium on facebook I am Ars Animalium on Insta |

| I just looked at your walkaround of the Ardennais and now I'm enjoying the photos of your Carmargue. Thank you. There's just something bothering me about these horses. And now seeing the Camargue standing next to the beautiful Friesian, it hits me. This Camargue and the Ardennais (and the new CollectA Percheron as well for that matter) all have their front legs at a strange place. Or so it seems to me. It looks like they are all trying to look over an edge of a cliff without falling in. Why is that? |

| Thank you Simone, maybe that's it what is bothering me about the Ardennes stallion As for the Camargue, her head is a bit bigger and heavy, so it's like pulling her forward and down maybe... _________________ I have two main passions: collecting and drawing animals Ars Animalium = Animal Art [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ars Animalium on facebook I am Ars Animalium on Insta |

Why is that? It's just the way legs are posed. Often, right before a horse starts walking, it shifts its wight to front legs, making its pose look like in those models. _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |
