NEW COLLECTA 2017: SEALIFE - Leopard Seal (88806)

So I knew they wanted to make this the last two years but even I was unaware that they finally made it. It seems to be in a 'movement' pose so I cannot comment until I have the model in my hand. I am intrigued to see how it will look placed on a surface.

Anyway, another new unique species not created by any of the major current western brands:

nice species choice. I just hope the backbone is not as short as in Manatee, Beluga and others,...

Finnaly, a leopard seal! It's an absolutely wonderful choice and the model seems to be nice too! Can't wait for better pictures.

Me too ! Leopard seals are scary in my opinion too

But very, very impressive super-effective predators also have great beauty, - as long as I don't have to swim with one

Love it. I rarely get excited about marine life, but this is a must-have.

What I like the most in Leopard seals is that this animal remind us that seals are hunters and not nice puppies on ice. This one seems very promising

You are right ! A couple of years ago there was a lot of palaver here in Denmark : A man was out in his boat and saw a grey seal in the water. He put his hand out to stroke it...and very nearly ended up as Captain hook

WELL it was about time ! I have never understood why nobody elese has ever thought to produce this fascinating carnivore, I m very happy for Collecta's intelligent choice.

I really love these predators, they are so smart!

My only worry is that the pose of this beautiful Pinniped is looking weird on a shelf or something like that.
Of course it is fantastic to see a Pinniped in a different pose than the typical 'lying on its belly type pose'.
