| As i suggested that i dont think about that i could win Now i won and it is after the SUY snakes the next big big SUY for me and i think i need a big lot of time to finish that. And i hope a lot of members will share also a lot of pics. So i live in Dresden, the capitol of Saxony in Germany. We have in Dresden any interesting parks and forests. So the "Großen Garten", the "Tharandter Wald", "Dresdner Heide" and not far away the national park "Sächsische Schweiz". There are a lot of animals inside like wild boars, roe deers , red deers, different bats, foxes, wolves a lot of birds and so on. And i have a lot of figurines of any of the species but on different places. Here the first pics to open that SUY. It could be possible that i will change something in the future :) More pics soon Bagder [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Neozoen raccoon [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Hedgehogs [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]otter [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]beavers [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]mole [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]stoat [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]bats [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]martens [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

I plan on adding to this thread once the semester is over (unless I decide to procranstinate...) I was going to do my state's animals (Since the US's list would go on and on...), so I would say province or region would work for Canada, whatever you want to do. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. Very true! I think Saarlooswolfhund's idea is probably the best for big and diverse countries like the US, Canada and Russia. State/province/region makes the most sense. Hmm, I have a gator, but no manatee, dolphin, etc.etc..... P.S. I love Anne from Norway's first photo with the deer and muskox. It looks like the one on the lower right is saying "Hey! Watch where you put those things!" after getting poked on the rear by the muskox's horn. |

| My idea is a sleepless SUY. I know members from big countries have a lot of different areas. And so if they want they can share from the coutry or area - it is your decision. I hope for a lot of pics and like Annes pics with different animals :) |

| I think this thread is quite interesting. I can't take picture at the moment though... At my place the streets are named after bird species so I could even apply this thread more locally My street's name is "titlark" and we actually have had some titlarks in our garden :) However, I do not own a titlark figure... (not sure if they're even around ) _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Anne-Joke [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ajs.artistry - Instagram AJs Artistry Shop - Etsy |

| Great topic ! It is great to see what amazing spieces live in your countries ! I am from Poland, here we have quite a lot wild fauna. I personally live in the woods, and I have a lot of contact with wild nature. Sadly my collection is small ( yet) but i already have some animals that can be seen in Poland! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]We have a lot of boars in Poland [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Rarely there are lynxes too, mostly in Białowieża forest area ( or my lack of knowledge tells me that there mostly) I also have few polish animals that are painted by me but I don't own them, shall I post them ? |

| Since I started a synoptic collection, I can now contribute creatures where I grew up, specifically the Sonoran Desert of Arizona! There are more I am sure, but these are familiar ones, or ones I have encountered personally (still need a good desert bighorn sheep figure). 1. golden eagle, Aquila chrysaetos (Kaiyodo - Natural Monuments of Japan) 2. western diamondback rattlesnake, Crotalus atrox (Papo) 3. javelina, Pecari tajacu (Safari LTD) 4. bobcat, Lynx rufus (Safari LTD) 5. Arizona desert hairy scorpion, Hadrurus arizonensis (Safari LTD - Desert Creatures TOOB) 6. coyote, Canis latrans (Safari LTD) 7. greater roadrunner, Geococcyx californianus (Safari LTD) 8. Gila monster, Heloderma suspectum (Epoch - The Poison) 9. black-tailed jackrabbit, Lepus californicus (Safari LTD) 10. mountain lion, Puma concolor (Safari LTD) 11. desert tortoise, Gopherus morafkai (Safari LTD) 12. pronghorn, Antilocarpa americana (Mojo Fun) 13. tadpole shrimp, Triops longicaudatus (Kaiyodo) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| WOW! The Hoopoe is just amazing, and I can imagine tiny too- how big is this beautiful model? And all the others are so realistic, but my favourite has to be your goldfinch!! All the colouring is just right, and they are one of my favourite birds, and you have done it to scale- I just love it! |

| Thanks Bonnie for your lovely kind words! :) The hoopoe is not so small - wings are bended so I can't measure the wingpan, but from bill tip to tail tip it measures 23 or 24 millimeters. _________________ My collection:- (Details):
