My new Reisler

FIRST of all , - Anna was so wonderfully generous that she let me buy the unusual velvet-covered Reisler figueres which she showed here a while ago

It seems they are slightly different from the ones I have, some of them are the version that was made for model railways.

Lately the prices have gone up for Reisler figueres in Denmark, and that is good !
Because now people do not just throw them away, they sell them

F.inst. I have been looking for the hippo, but never found it. Then a couple of weeks ago, one was on auktion. The price went up and up...almost 30 Euros!
Pbviously I was not the only one looking for thet one
A few years ago one was lucky to get one DKR (1/8 Euro) for a Reisler figuere.

Then suddenly there were two more hippos on auktion, and I got one

And the rare dromedary, I got one that was nicer than the one I had :

The later Reisler figueres are of a softer material, I had a black/white cow and a yersey cow of those. Now each one got a husband, - I hope they will have calves now

I am happy you like them. They are nothing compared to for instance the new Papos, but they are from my childhood ( VERY old ) and have special charm, I think

Don't say that they are nothing in compare with newer brands like Papo or so, they are their ancestors in this hobby, and have that nice vintage feeling over them, and prepared the way for all of the new brands!
