| Well, it was bound to happen. The random number generator landed on the Japanese rhinoceros beetle, Allomyrina dichotoma. I have by far more figures of this species than any other (38 at the time of the initial post), to the point I have stopped buying them from the companies that feel compelled to re-release the same sculpts annually (F-Toys, Takara Tomy A.R.T.S.). Oh, and look, there is a second species in the genus at the bottom... I. Japanese rhinoceros beetle, Allomyrina dichotoma. A. Boxed figures. 1. DeAgostini (World Insect Data Book) 2. Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. (Beetles of the World) 3. Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. (Beetles of the World) - female 4. Bandai (Bugs Museum) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]post a picture B. It's a Japanese company but the figures are fairly generic and not as well-detailed as gashapon makers |
