| I thought, that only the horse and farm parts go to Breyer. Or the complete Collecta brand?
Susanne, what do you mean? Will the 2017 figures stopped?

| No, anything will change, the only thing that changes is that CollectA gets a new distributor in the USA. So I as thinking what I would like to see from CollectA and I have't found in a store yet, I know that maybe none of these ever will be released but I was told that it's something good to dream. I will start with my home continent, South America, with it's great biodiversity but it has fewer big species than Africa or Asia. Anyway, I still found a lot of species that I would like to see in my shelves. The arapaima, being the largest freshwater fish. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The electric eel, a very interessting species with a unique behaviour - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The boto, which is one of the protagonist in the Brazilian folklore, and which girl will miss a pink dolphin? - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I don't think that the otter that at the moment is in the catalogue will last for much more time. So why shouldn't the biggest species take his place? The giant otter is such a nice species that definitley needs more attention, and it would be even nicer if it would have some pups, like the capybara. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I know that Papo has a giant anteater, but I don't think anyone would mind a nice (maybe even nicer) wife for him? - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
At the first moment you can't really see a diference between a marsh deer and an white-tailed deer, but at the second you see that they are so different, this definitley would need a figure. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
One of my favourite birds is the jabiru, a not very nice-looking species but so typical for the Pantanal region. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
We already have some ostrich, two cassowaries and even a emu made by the major brands, but the rhea is still missing. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
There's already a collared peccary made by Safari, but there is even a bigger and much more endangered species, the chacoan peccary, which is still very unknown but has a lot of caracteristics that are diferent from the other two species. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] CollectA also just has an very old llama that really should be replaced by a other camelid. In my opinion the best option would be the vicuna, which looks "cuter" than a guanaco. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Safari has shown us a harpy this year, what about CollectA showing us a andean condor in the next? It is the national symbol of so many countries and also one of the biggest birds. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Last but not least is the andean bear, the only bear species that wasn't made by any major brand and also the only bear that lives in South America. - Spoiler:

| I've always hoped for a Chinese Water Deer and a Japanese Serrow from CollectA. |

| These are some great choices! I'd also love to see them make a Titanotylopus as well as some South American fishes.
To be honest, it's a little to early for me to start thinking up new figures, just because they did such a great job this year and it will take a long time for me to acquire the ones I'm looking for. That being said, I'd love to see a Dzungariotherium or Indricotherium as possible upgrades to their Paraceratherium. |

| The second continent is Eurasia, the biggest and the one with the most diversity of species. Also here I found some species that I really would like to see. The binturong, who is allso known as "bearcat". It is a very strange animal that saddly still hasn't a acurate representation of it on the toy market. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Hornbills are very strange looking birds, the great hornbill is the biggest species that can be found in this family. CollectA showed us 2017 that they can do amazing logs, so why not representate this species during the nesting season? - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
CollectA already has a peacock, but during the most time peacocks just have "closed" tails. So maybe why not try this position with a green peacock? - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The CollectA rhino isn't anymore the newest and sooner or later it will be replaced. In my opinion the best opinion would be the sumatran rhino, it small, cute, saddly very rare and never made by any major brand. This one also deserves a small calf, these are even cuter than the old ones. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
A banteng wouldn't really be the first thing on my list, because we already have a wonderful gaur but anyway in the future it still would be very nice to see a banteng. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I think that the nilgai bull really deserves a wife with which he could make some calves. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I know that we already have three diferent pig species, but would a fourth really bother someone? In my opinion the palawan bearded pig would be a perfect choice, it's unknown and endangered. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Credits: [url=philippine-mammals.blogspot.com]philippine-mammals.blogspot.com[/url]
I would really like to see a anoa, but they are so small that I would be dissapoited by the size CollectA would do them, so I searched for a simmilar species that would be bigger, and I found the tamaraw. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I think that CollectA should do a third crocodilian species, because the nile crocodile and american alligator are the most common species in the toy market. A gharial would be something really diferent, but because we already have a very nice one made by Papo I chossed the flase gharial of which we still don't know much. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The yangtze giant softshell turtle, is saddly one if not the most endangered species that we know. And everything is being tried to save it, we really should give some more attention to this species before it is lost forever. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The Père David's deer on the other side is a success story, there were almost none left but luckily it is doing fine at the moment. But it is still a very special species of deer that looks very diferent from the others. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The bharal would be an other great addition to CollectA's wild sheep range.... - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] As would be a serow, I choosed the chinese serow because it's bigger than the other species but still very simmilar to the sumatran species. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
A takin also hasn't been made by any brand. It fits perfectly in CollectA's range of Himalayan hoofed animals. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
There simply isn't any amphibian made by CollectA that also does good with their model of bigger species. The giant salamander would be very nice to solve that problem. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Among so many horses, donkeys and zebras we are still missing some asian donkeys, so a kiang or a onager would be a very fine addition to CollectA's range. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I know that there is a european bison around, but none really looks like one. Because the old American bison really should be replaced, this should be the best alternative. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Because many collectors in this forum love the muskox, I became a lover of it too. Saddly we just have the older Schleich one which is very difficult to find, so we really need a newer version of it. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Like I said, I'm missing some river fish. In Europe there aren't that many big fish but one of the most famous ones is the northern pike. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The siberian sturgeon would just be an other river fish, and especially one that has a big market. - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Of course there also needs to be a seal, I choosed the bearded seal because they look funny. - Spoiler:

| CollectA has already gotten around to doing several of my childhood favorite prehistoric animals, like this year's Dimorphodon for their "Supreme" series, but there are always more things that I want to see turn up from this particular company. For instance there are still dinosaurs like Ceratosaurus nasicornis, would be nice. So would a new Psittacosaurus mongoliensisor Edmontonia rugosidens. Or more marine reptiles, like Placodus gigas. All in either standard size or deluxe would be fine with me. _________________ John

| Short and sweet list.
Hartebeest. Any hartebeest.
dhole
douc langur
I trust this company whether or not they make any of these. They've knocked it out of the park consistently for half a decade. |
