That is very interesting, Noémi! It is not as relevant when they've found that clouded leopards were two species instead of one with some evident differences but it is good to know that populations of snow leopards are more diversified than we thought before.

I can't help thinking how many subspecies of animals that have become extict during the last couple of hundred years, when the human population has grown so explosively.

Thanks for sharing, I knew that there were at least two subspecies of that species, so it will be even more difficult to protect this species if the populations should be managed seperately. It will also be very interessting to see how (or if) zoos will find a way for that.
