| I will put the Vaquita on my list too. It is wonderful. And the Friesian will make a wonderful Unicorn. I can not resist. So that one's on the list as well. I find the American porcupine very intriguing. Hopefully it will have a nicer paint job that will capture its "fuzzy" look better. Maybe, maybe the Musk Ox, not sure yet. I saw the pictures of the new Ankylosaurus on DTF and it looks wonderful. If it's going to be in 1:35 scale it will be on my list as well. I'm already excited without even knowing what the other companies will bring! LOL |

| The friesian horse looks nice, but i must see it in real, because i don't like safari horses so much. The Morgan is ugly i expect. The porcupine is a new world porcupine, we call it Urson or Bauchstachler in german. That Leviathan is nice and a must have, i like mythological creatures. Also the fat dragon. But my top of the wishlist is the Musk Ox. Ready at last, the wonderful Schleich Musk ox get a companion. I WANT that Musk ox! Still 2017 i want it. |

| Safari 2018 releases seemed promising, now I can see that they are exciting! Whales look really good. TOOBS like these do really deserve our money. Andreas is right, that's a new world porcupine, hardly comparable to Schleich figure once old and new world porcupines are quite different. It is not easy to get right a porcupine in toy shape, I am not sure Safari did it correctly but I am sure the company was very brave introducing this animal in their range. For now, it is the most exciting 2018 release for me. Equally brave was Safari choosing those almost similar poses to the pygmy hippo and the musk ox. Two very interesting figures and species. If it was not their previous releases from other major companies and surely we were much more excited about them. The musk ox doesn't look very natural but it may be the angle or the pose. The pygmy hippo has the funny looking that these animals have and I like how it is animated. Back to the leopard seal, the pose, similar to this Bullyland common seal is nice and it may not help to judge how good is the figure when what we see is the ventral area. Though, in the composition Safari made showing it as it was in its habitat, it continues not looking convincent and realistic, it just looks a draw to me. Again, I hope I am wrong. The vaquita is a good idea and the first appearance of this animal among majors. Porpoises are quite rare. About those horses they are surprising! They show clearly that Safari wants to give their own mark to their line of horses. They break with what is known from other companies. The Morgan is the opposite of Schleich horses, showing a reduced neck and small head. If in Architecture some authors tell that Rococo is the exageration of the Baroque... so this is surely a Rococo Frisian! |

Looking at it again, I'm almost certain it's a Hyaenodon or some other creodont species. It has a long snout, small ears, a long, panther-like body, and no mane. Striped Hyenas have short snouts, large ears, short bodies, and profuse manes. It would be great if it were a Megistotherium, although those are more bear-like. |

| This is very strange for me... I ama a huge fan of Safari Ltd. but year after year I´m less and less interested... what is happening?? Musk-ox is my long time dream! New musk-ox is on my every year wish list and now finally new one and I´m not pleased. It looks good bud those legs... But I´m really glad some brad came up with this animal!! I used to love Safari´s horses but the Morgan horse is weird. Sheep and lamb are like a joke and porcupine is really strange. Wow! This is really sad for me. Safari ltd. is on my top but now it seems like they are not focused enough on aminal models. Boxer, seal and whales are really good... on the other site :) _________________ My webside / my collection / my youtube channel / my facebook / my instagram / my twitter

| I don't know, I rather like the pose of the Musk Ox. He doesn't look so bad, with his hair swept back in the wind. The feet may be a bit too large, I'm not sure, but I like the figure. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Musk oxen in general are kind of different looking, since they are a "leftover" from the Pleistocene. They actually have huge feet, similar to arctic wolves and hares they act like snowshoes so they can walk better. And their hair is incredibly dense and long. I have seen some in person and knew someone who used to raise them on a sanctuary. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]_________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs.
