Volkmar Klaus, the founder of Bully, - later Bullyland - and his wife Jane were very fond of French Bulldogs.
In 1973 when they started fabrication of the Bully-figueres, they had no less than 7 French Bulldogs , called "Bully" in German - thus the name and the logo.

So it is not surprising that Bully(land) has made some very niche figures of dogs .
What is surprising is, that these dogs are not anywhere nearly as popular as the ones from Schleich, - it must be the lack of Schleich-name.

Well, I am happy. The older dogs can be found for 1 – 2 Euros in MINT condition on Ebay.
Here are the ones I have succeeded to get this year, + the baby-Pug and the new Great Danes of this year.

Wolfstitz, - I do not know the name in English

Brown New Foundlander ?

Cute Beagle and not quite so well made Westie

The pug got a baby this year

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I had a grey and a black Schnauzer, the one to the left must be much older, because it has the old tag.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
This black French Bulldog has the little note, I think Schleich and Bullyland had the same good idea, - or who stole it from who Wink

Older and new Great Danes

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Mamamute. There will be two new sledgedogs this year, I think.

Rottweiler

Last year the little bulldog-logo was no longer on the front page of the catalogue, - and this year it is not on the tags either, - what a shame.

Congratulations Susanne Bullylander! cheers
I'm not an expert of dogs but of course Bully dogs are nice and they have a lot of different breeds, isn't it Susanne?
Your first dog, the wolfspitz, I searched and it looks like the name in English is Keeshond! See here in wikipedia

Those are all fantastic Susanne! I wish Bullyland animals were more available to me. I really like a lot of them! I especially like your Beagle and the Pugs! :)

I don't have a lot of dogs in my collection, but the ones I do have are Schleich. One of the local shops carries Safari dogs, but I'm not so impressed with them. They are overall nice sculptures, but seem to lack the charm that Schleich has. Bullyland dogs appear to have that charm about them as well. :)

Brown New Foundlander & Old Great Dane are very nice! But just too difficult for me to source over here. Kistie also mentioned that the Safari dog is not that impress for her. Last year the Female German Shepard with Puppies is quite well sculpted.

Thanks, friends flower

yes, I think Germany is the only place where there is any supply of retired Bully(land) dogs.
New ones also, when I think about it. The new ones I got from MPF :

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I understand from some of my German friends that Bullyland is not very easy to find in any larger choice in German shops either.

Ken, that German Shepheard with pup is adorable Very Happy

Woah, beautiful dogs! I specially like the big ones, and my favourite of those is the Rottweiler! My favourite breed is the biggest one, we call it "Gran Danés"; but I´m not quite satisfied with the figurines. I looked for the new Schleich one... but it´s smaller than the schleich dalmata figurine! I definitely didn´t like it Sad

Perhaps it was a test, - they made the Grand Danois, Pugs and labradors to fit the scale of the other farm animals ?
As the big ones originally were a "series" of 1 : 12 models, I thought they were changing to smaller ones and really like them, - they do not take up so much space Laughing

But no new Schleich dogs this year Crying or Very sad
I hope they are planning a Saluki, a whippet and a Borzoi cheers

I know there are many fine Salukis in Germany. Do you know his kennel name ?

For many years some of the most winning Salukis came from Finland.

I am no big fan of dog shows, but with many of the Gazehounds they have succeeded to avoid ruining the dog for the looks.
