Happy Kin Cod,Nayab Brown bear-colour variant,and a nice Giraffe.

I love the Golden Compass models, the books are really good too (Starting with the Northern Lights) and I'm actually currently reading the second series, so it's wonderful to see these characters as models!

Oh my God   You found my favorite norwegian breed of cattle, the Black sided Trondheim and Nordland  My grandparents had cows of this breed when I was a little boy It,s a beautiful breed from the middle part of Norway. They are the sister population to the Swedish Fjall (mountain cattle) and are the closest relatives to the cows that vikings brought to Iceland in the 700-800 century. These cows are mostly black on their sides, but some can be brown, brindled, red or grey. They always have a white topline or finchback, also called lineback. They were  almost wiped out in the 1970-ies. Some dedicated breeders saved the breed in the 1980-ies, and today there are almost 2000 breeding cows here in Norway. They have become rather popular with extensive farmers, very popular for mountain farming during the summer because of their rich milk, excellent for cheese making. The best part is that this breeds numbers are still increasing    Thank you so much for showing And I just loved the Shorthorn bull in your former avatar

Farm collector-Glad you like the picture,a I say I am a big fan of cattle from all over the world!There is an Irish breed of cattle{I'm originally from Ireland )called Irish Moiled which is also colour sided and line backed and they think that the Vikings may have introduced the ancestor of this breed when they invaded Ireland!

Yes, I know of the breed and it,s history   In the south of Norway we have a similar breed called the Jarlsberg cattle. This is a polled, red sided, linebacked dairy breed very much alike the Irish Moiled
