/Taos' general additions update 10/2/2024

And from a local Toy Fair.
Cherilea Jersey cow and horse.
Britains- Berkshire pig-this is a lead one as they didn't make a plastic version that I know of.
Britains--The older Jersey bull with a ring in his nose!newer Suffolk sheep and a older foal but with his tail held differently from the other models. I have-a mistake or someone glued his tail back on but its very hard to tell!
Made in England models-the Saddleback pig and calf possibly Britains?The otter with the fish is a copy of a model I have by Tipple Topple.
A made in China Border Collie and a made in Hong Kong copy of the Britains Water buffalo.
Timpo sow and a goat by Topps-think this could pass for a Rocky Mountain goat kid!

I love how the Britains riders have such old-fashioned seats, their 'armchair' position with feet way forward and hands low is so different to the modern style everyone's taught these days, it's a really charming historical aspect of model-collecting to have this carried on in plastic form even if there's dwindling numbers of actual riders who'd sit like this now (I'm one of them! )

Thanks for the interesting comment on the Britains rider,I would have no idea as I am not a horse rider.
I have checked and the Topps goat is a Rocky Mountain goat kid!

Wow, a toy fair, that must have been so fun and great for models!
Such a lovely selection of dogs too! The Dobermann is a beauty, pretty rare too, that's a very lucky find! I love its pose too, quite unusual- a bit like a pointer! That lying MEG brown dog is also a great find, definitely one of the more rare puppy in my pockets! Such a sweet little Afghan too! And the Wing Crown collie from the farm set! So many wonderful additions!

Thanks again.Bonnie,thanks for the info about the Border collie.Yes,the MEG lying dog was a find-its supposed to be an Airedale! The little Afghan is a colour variant as I have the other one which is darker and the shoe is green.

great new additions Taylor, I love the mama pig and piglets the most, it's a beautiful little model that one:)
and the foal's tail is indeed very interesting. It looks rather good that way too.

Great new additions. The Berkshire pig is very interesting. No, Britains didn't make them in plastic, I didn't know they made them in lead. The saddleback pig and calf are indeed early version Britains, aren't they marked Britains?

Sunny-The sow and piglets are a duplicate for me,so if you are interested I can reserve it for you?
Roger-the Saddleback and the calf are only marked with England.I seem to see quite a number of lead Berkshires as this the second one I have found.My first one has better paintwork than this one.
