It happened once again: another moth took its sleep at my home. However, this time, instead of being a Polyphemus moth behind my white spruce, it was an Ennomos magnaria sleeping on my back screen door. All day long, we slid the door vveeeerrryy sssloooowwwly each time we had to go out or get Inside. Everything we wouldn't do when we love nature. The little yellow moth flew off after the sun went down and we never saw it again.

You love moths and moths love you! Again a beautiful animal and it is lucky of finding someone that admires them and respect them. Thanks for showing. Very Happy

I have a research on which I work from time to time, where I put dead, dried specimens plastified with informations. Although, 90percent of my insects were already dead when I picked them up. OK, many of them are in rather bad condition (in a few cases, I only have a wing), but the fact is, I don't feel well with the idea of killing, especially when it is just for the sake of making a research.

You must love the color yellow, then! Very Happy And yes, this moth is designed to camouflage itself with the yellow dead leaves of Betulacea, Aceracea and Salicacea. But it is certainly not well camouflaged on my patio screen door. sunny
