The CollectA Sperm Whale was in need of a work-over. The back skin is wrinkly and also shows white blotches all over the body. Those indicate sucker scars inflicted by giant squids, the most favourite dish of the sperm whale.

They are calling me too!!!
Both gray whale and sperm whale!!!

I still don't have many of Collecta's  animals yet, and now I am seriously thinking of getting marine animals, too!!!

I confess I am very impressed with what I can see through this official picture. The model looks magnificent and it has a respectable size. Quite curious to see how it looks in real although it is far from my plans to put more whales in my house.
I think CollectA made a little upgrade in quality, replacing some models and giving a lot of atention to those revealed. The general quality is very good despite the quantity and diversity being inferior to previous years. Sea life and Prehistoric models are especially good.
I think, however, that Safari's range for 2018 is more impressive and we also have the Southlands Replicas. Hardly CollectA is number 1 for 2018 but it is not because CollectA is not doing well. It is because we are fortunate of having lots and lots of fantastic figures to choose from. Now charging batteries to see what is Papo doing.

Nice. But 23 cm is a little bit small. Sad, that Collecta don't make a whale deluxe series.

Yes this was a good opportunity to resize the old 'mini' with a deluxe ,.. only the blue seems to be bit larger than the older release , the grey too is on the 'tiny' side

Sometimes it's better to find a good place on crowded shelves

I like it a lot, I like also its predecessor but ther is no doubt this one is an improvement.
