A new gray whale!

The CollectA whale family is enlarged by our new Grey Whale model. Characteristically, it shows two blowholes and comes in a greyish color. The skin is covered by gray-white patterns. Those are scars left by parasites that normally cling to the skin and drop off in the cold feeding grounds.

These new whales remind me a lot on the Maia and Borges model, but with a lot more details, this one looks fabulous too!

Nice whale

Although I haven't bought any whales so far, I am seriously considering of buying this particular one as my first sealife mammal in my collection!!!

I already have the one from Schleich, but this one is so much better. Maybe, I will replace it with this new one.

I will add this one with the Schleich and the Safari that I have. 2018 will be a whale year!!

Sometimes whales are somewhat ignored once apparently they do not sell well due their high prices. Really wrong way of thinking. Schleich whales, those known from Maia & Borges, could not contributed directly to a great increase of sales of Schleich figures but they surely contributd to the good reputation Schleich gained during further years. I remember their impact while exposed on store shelves and how they made us think about the good quality of the toys displayed. These figures are also important to increase the presence of these brands in sealife thematic parks and aquaria shops. Thus, it is very important to not neglect this kind of toys and the best philosophy is to make them with the highest level of detail and scientific accuracy even if their sales expectations are not high. CollectA seemed to be aware of it and is providing us a very pleasant and detailed grey whale.

Roger is absoluty right. It is sad that Schleich did not continue their sea life line. But now it is CollectA, that is creating the best whales.

will go well in my pod !! I do love the Maia n Borges as well as the Monterey Bay Safari ltd Greys , this will be a welcome addition to the already Beautiful Pod !!

It seems beautiful and nicely detailed, I still have the bigger Schleich M+B one but this one is really tempting.

although i get goosebumps of those crustacean-friends on the skin, especially the mouth might be a detail of it's own
