G'day everyone! It's been a while since I posted to the forum as I've been away to see family in Canada. Kind of appropriate that my first repaint would be a Canadian lynx. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]While we were in Canada, my parents and my husband and I, went to visit a rehab centre for injured animals called Ecomuseum Zoo. I got to see some real live lynxes!! Boy! Are they adorable... And so shy and secretive! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Lynxes are really shy creatures and it surely do not depends of their species. I enjoy a lot your repaint, the subtle contrasts, the real feel of a fur and face. Do you have a picture from a fully lateral view? It is great that you are back on forum!

This is the best repaint of the Canadian lynx I have ever seen. I also have this lynx and I want to repaint it. Did you work from dark to light? And finished it with this white/light gray? You painted the lynx very very well and thank You for sharing the photos with us they are a good inspiration for me.

| Thank you so much, everyone. When I started repainting the lynx, I was a bit nervous as I thought I had lost the technique. I'm thankful for your kind feedback... I feel empowered once more. Zirkoon, I did work from darker to lighter. I laid down a grey base, along with some russet blotches on specific areas, and then I spot painted the fur with a dry brush technique. I made sure I didn't kill all the darker grey base by brushing in patterns of lines and spots on the coat (if that makes sense.) Here are a few side view photos, just for you, Roger. | Thanks a lot for additional pictures! It doesn't look anymore the Safari lynx figure! Yes, these markings make all sense but just as you did with a subtle contrast. It worked all perfectly and I adore that figure. I wished I could do something like that. |

You're very welcome, Zirkoon. And thank you! Thank you so much, Roger. I also have the Safari bobcat, the Mojo Iberian lynx and the CollectA Eurasian lynx, and I reckon the Safari lynx is the most morphologically accurate one of the bunch... But the markings! Yikes! It looks like an okapi! I just had to give him a facelift.

I love this Safari model so much .... and I dislike ( like all of us) the original paint job so much ... But now, your model look like real , beautiful Canadian Lynx, with wonderful coat , charming face and big, soft paws . Very well done ! Now we have already two beautiful looking Canadian Lynxes .. this by Fallon and yours :) ..Let`s see when mine will come to life , to join the band ... one day ... :)

Thank you so much, Kosta! I just saw your Iberian lynx repaint and it's drop dead gorgeous. I can't wait to see your Canuck lynx. I'm sure it will be awesome.
