How do you keep them all straight? ~

Good idea !
Did you have Reisler ? Danish brand from the 1950s till early 2000s.

Maybe it would be an idea to make a heading under "General", where we can enter a string for each brand, and members can tell about the history, distribution, general appearance, examples etc. A sort of dictionary for brands ?
I often wished I knew more about the history of a new figuere.
Does anybody remember all the silly questions I have asked since I joined ?

Thank you for all the brands, mostly unknown for me and the advice with compesition.

But I think Treehouse Kids is also a legend like the lemurs of PlayVisions. A lot of very nice and interesting animals but nothing to find today.

I think you/we should ask the administrators if it is possible make a special subject out of this - in the top, under "General".
It is very essential for collectors and would be a great plus for the site...

Of course it should not be the poor administrators making it, just make the heading

PS : I would voluntere for the first about Reisler, if there is a string for each product. Others can fill in and / or correct, bring more illustrations, sides from catalogues etc.

Maybe we could do a "STSpedia" of the different brands ? One topic, one brand. A short history and explanation and pics of the products, goodies... Why not ? But it is a lot of work... I guess we have to think seriously about it before

Yes, yes, that is what I mean
You are so right, it has to be thought through before it is started, but then it does not have to be so much work. Or rather, the members of the forum do the work.

When first there is a heading (Like Talk about whatever you want), Members who have a fancy-brand can start a string, and others can add more and/or correct. Or will it be too confusing to read ?

I just remember when I first joined, I had thousands of questions like : What does E.L.C mean ? How old is the brand CollectA, where to buy them ? Why is there a dog on Bullyland`s logo ? Where is Papo made ? What is "masse-figuren" , what are the topps-figueres, What is Hartung ...I can`t remember all the questions.

Funny thing is, when we know someting we often forget that once we did not know, and that others may not.

There is a lot of gold hidden around here but I always fail to find it when I need it....

ok, ok, it was just an idea. It may be very difficult to handle for our administrators. I have no idea how it works behind the stage
