A while ago , I found this very interesting and very charming looking, plastic model of Spanish Bull. I bought it from a bulgarian seller , who informed me , that he has it since he was a child .. ( `80 ) The model is hollow and it is so light ... It is almost like you hold just an air. The material is very very thin ... I think the right name of it is `` celluloid `` .. ot maybe ``nylon`` .. ? It is not hard, it is very thin and elastic. I think, it is a vintage, russian model , from `70 or maybe `80 ( at least the style is looking like that) , but I still don`t have a proof for that. Ok, now it`s time to see a walkaround of this charming and friendly looking guy : Now you can clearly see , why I call it : Charming and friendly looking : Ok, maybe you are curious of the size of this model ... ? :) Let me show you ... Ta daaaa : Yes, it is actually quite big and his new friends , the CollectA and Mojo bulls are also impressed of his size But like I said, it is soo light ... every one of the major brands models, is much much heavier than he is . I was trying to find any info about this model on internet ... and till now , no results Nothing, except this : I found a statue of a bull from a russian webstore , made of cast iron .. and it looks exactly the same as mine plastic model . Unfortunatelly on this store, they don`t show any info of who made it .. or the year of manufacturing. Check this out : And one last photo ... for TAI .. maybe ? Thank`s for watching _________________ KOSTA

To be fair, I have seen it and I even tried to find some information. The fact that I couldn't find any info about it is surely not a good excuse to not post. I think it is always gentle from us to post even when there's nothing too special to say. Afterall, you are bringing something unknown to the forum and your effort deserve our thanks. No reasons for your charming bull feel sad, we are just a few but we are good.

What an amazing model !!! And very, very charming Again you found something both beautyful and rare ! So he is more or less a copy of a metal bull, so perhaps he was designed by a well-known artist ? Good idea, Andreas, to ask Sergey if he knows something About the material, I think that it could be celloid. I had two celluid dolls as a child, and they were ultra-light. But in that case, be very careful , as they burn very easily. I remember when bycycle handles were made from celluid. Naughty children loved to hold a looking glass in the sun over the handles, and after a short time, the celluid would begin to smoke and crumble My mom always warned me not to take the dolls near the christmas tree ( Back then we only had real candles, elecric light chains were not invented yet ) Thankyou for sharing you new, wonderful find with us. Take good care of him, he may be quite fragile _________________ SUSANNE

My celluloid figurines are not elastic, but very breakable and very easy weight. _________________ www.spielzeugtiere.com STS members can merge Andreas

Thank you very much friends for your nice comments My Toro is happy and even more smiling , reading them Yes Andreas, the last photo is with DeQube Toro Bravo model ... one of my new precious, spanish models, which Miguel was so kind to help me to get. Soon I will show them Now I think, that my Bull is made not from `` celluloid `` because I`m reading here, that this material is very breakable.. So, maybe the right name of the material is ``nylon``. It is very squishy :) _________________ KOSTA

Great to see this gorgeous model again Reading the descripton again, I wonder if the material isn't bakelite ? Celloid is not flexible .... _________________ SUSANNE

| An amazing bull figure Kosta. Whilst I cannot identify the brand this site has some interesting information:
http://dirydor.blogspot.com/2009/04/toros-de-lidia-en-plastico-54-mm.html
Mainly deals with bull fighting figures in 45mm to 54mm but it does say that Jecsan produced 70mm bull figures and these are like those from Teixidó and they are convinced the same sculpture was used. May be an avenue to explore.
