Hello all, here is it a few spanish animals pictures of my personal colection. They were made around between 1950's-1970's. Usually they are very hard to find and relatively expensive.

Amazing! The buffalo is my favourite. And I have 3 camels like that (but with better paintjob) to put them in Christmas, in my "Belén"... I´m not sure how do you call it, it´s like a little diorama where you can see Jesus (baby), Maria, José, the Magic Kings...

I think it is called a "Nativity set" in English.
"Krippenfiguren" in German.
"Julekrybbe" in Danish Wink

I'll try to answer your questions.

Roger, fox says in spanish "zorro" for males and "zorra" for females. Zorro in masculine means too astute, but zorra in feminine means bitch or hooker.
I have got animals from Pech too, I'll post some pictures. Don't trust in tag sellers, more times are wrong. For example, rhino you post are the same I post, and it's Comansi, not Pech, look at him.

Kristie, OMO animals are from 60's.

Oh pale Sorry Incha! Entonces no me gusta las zorras because I need money for my figures!Wink
I've found these pictures in a Spanish forum where you are a member! I think some figures I saw it before, when I was a boy, here in seasonal markets ! Not sure, I was very young and never had it! Anyway is interesting to know the history of plastic figures of your country, I remember a lot of soldiers but I'm really interested in animals! :)

Great pictures Incha, i think we discussed these figurines already some time ago, as you mentioned that you knew those from my collection as OMO figurines.
I got them as a child from my mom in the 1960's, as she bought OMO washingpowder, and i pushed her to buy this of course, haha.
In my case, they are made out of one-coloured hardplastic, not rubber, with some colour-variations to.
The most common colours were white, silvergrey, shineybrown, black and sometimes even red.
Here are some pics to compare, although not very good pictures, as i made them long ago.

Some of the other figurines have resemblances with older composition figurines of older german brands... Rolling Eyes

Thanks Willy, at first, nice to meet you. I'm a follower of your collection, it's realy very big and good. Your pictures are very good.

About your lioness or my black panther Very Happy , I call it panther because is painted in black, and there aren't black lions, I supose she is a panther (jaguar, leopard,...?), because already there is a lion in OMO animals.

P.D. I like tropical fishes too and I have some tanks What a Face

Do you see a brush in the tip of its tail? So it is a lioness!
If you don't see it, so it is a leopard (black panther)! :)
Let's look at the tail! Rolling Eyes

Perhaps you are correct and it's a painter's mistake Rolling Eyes

There is another interpretation, figures are similar and they wanted to save some money and used the lioness sculpting for a black panther painting it in black! The figure is not completly accurate, what we understand but the morphology is of a lioness! So, if this interpretation is correct, this is a black panther made iwith a lioness mould! A catalogue would explain what they wanted to do! Anyway congratulations, you have a black lioness, very rare figure! Laughing Wink
