Collecta 2019: FARMLIFE - Boar (88864)

I've just got this good news from Collecta:

"With last week’s release of the female pig we are now giving it a companion: a male pig, the boar. "

I like him more than his lady...

I absolutely agree, this boar looks a lot better than the sow, but it would be muc more exciting if they would have done a rarer breed.

Interesting, the first time I watched the picture, my first thought was that this one looks better than the sow. After reading others' posts, I've found that I am not the only one. They need a regular pig to sell enough to open way to other breeds of pigs. What I really think that they could do is just something simple like htis, they could make one of the lots of breeds that look almost like all others but letting us to know which exact breed.

I am not sure how this is better than the sow. Other than the obvious gender differences, they are essentially the same figure. Or maybe that's the problem?

They bear some credit since they release the Mangalitsa. :)
They could do as Mojö with their white lion, using the last production runs of the former sow to repaint it into a fitting breed, spotted or in dark colors and save the money to a new mould showing an unusual breed as the Hungarian one. Likely, the next suine release, besides the piglet, will likely be a Vietnamese.

Yes, agree the Mangalitsa was a triumph!and agree that they could have used a previous model and put colour on that and saved the costing for something special like a Tamworth,Iberian or a Kune Kune.Lets not hope we are going to get yet another pot bellied pig.

I am glad we agree and I enjoy particularly your suggestion of the Iberian pig! Not only because it is the breed of my region but also because it is a remarkable, emblematic and distinct breed. It is believed it is as old as breeding exists. The Kune Kune I didn't know at all and it is really unusual one.
