Your wishes for Collecta 2020

It's Swahili. A lot of scientists are incorporating local, especially indigenous languages into animal names now. I think this is a positive development for a variety of reasons. There are dinosaurs (Guanlong, Chinese), opossums (Tlacuatzin, Nahuatl), pterosaurs (Tapejara, Tupi), and many others. It makes it easy to remember where they're from, at the very least.

Off topic, but muscovies are threatened? They're a common as mud invasive here.

What are "muscovies"? Muscovy duck maybe? If then, as in all animals, the IUCN only counts the natural populations, not the artificial modified man-made animals. Carps and camels are also "endangered" despite being almost pests...

CollectA has a Water Bufffalo (88657). It was released in 2014.

But it's a carabaw or wild water buffalo. I assume South Noah means a normal or domestic water buffalo with all black body.

I think carabao is a domestic water buffalo, not wild one. And, seeing that the list consists of only wild animals, I assume he means a wild water buffalo.

Collecta A wishlist for 2020

Of the list of animals mentioned so far I would like to see an Aye Aye, Brown Hyena, Chital, Dhole, Fossa, Great Hornbill, Hermit Ibis (Waldrapp), Patagonian Mara, Patas Monkey and the Southern Ground Hornbill.

In addition I would love to see models of the following animals introduced: Hanuman Langur, Douc Langur, Sambar, Barashinga (Swamp Deer), Whooping Crane, Horned Guan, Argus Pheasant, Spectacled Caiman, Giant Ibis, Curlew, Adder, European Grass snake, Crested newt and the marble Polecat.
