PNSO Updated Paint Schemes

I just bought the whole line of PNSO miniature dinosaurs. Every single one. I noticed they updated the schemes of the dinosaurs from Series 1. Is it possible that this was done to combat the various bootleg figures I have seen on AliExpress, etc?
