Oh, poor gemsbok!
We missed your superb dioramas for a while. This African Desert diorama is superb! (despite fennecs being found in North Africa and gemsboks in Southern Africa hehehe). You're lucky to have such diversity of habitats near your home for make these dioramas - Tibetan plateau, Amazonian jungle, now African desert...
The thyme branches are superb as small and tortuous desert trees. The steps on the sand are incredibly well done. Bravo, mon ami!

you're right there are no oryx in Sahara and no fennec in Namibian desert without individual transcontinental migration!  thank you for your reaction Pardo and I shall post others desert pictures very soon..

Life could be much easier if predators were fennecs instead. The reality is more cruel for an oryx when they have to deal with these very clever predators, as African wild dogs are, that use sophisticated strategies that allows them to hunt large prey. Two may be not enough but be aware Mr. oryx!

Dear lioness, an adult healthy giraffe is too much for hunt!
I absolutely love the first photo of the scimitar-horned oryx. It could be a postcard!! (this oryx is in my wishlist for future purchase hehe)
