the two Safari WS Sealife (orange and green) are probably also Giant Pacific octopus

I just noticed this one--https://toyanimal.info/wiki/Safari_Toob_687804_Eel

It's listed as a Safari eel, except 1) it's not an anguilliform, it's a synbranchiform https://toyanimal.info/wiki/Synbranchiformes and 2) it is more specifically a blind cave synbranchid eel OPHISTERNON candidum or something similar.

Cool! I should mention, I only spotted it because there's a lot of missing garden eels.

This is more a question than a correction.

How was it determined that:

1. Schleich rattlesnake is a prairie rattlesnake:

2. Mojo rattlesnake is an eastern diamondback:

Did the manufacturers market them as such?

I never noticed, but it does have the brown dorsal markings. Seems skinny though

I wonder if TAI should take a more conservative approach. Only post things at the level specified by the company, and then on the individual figures page discuss species-level possibilities based on the sculpt and color. Coming up with IDs based on one or two individuals' comparison of images on the internet can be misleading (also, you are assuming the images on the internet are correct to begin with!). Doing it for one's personal collection is one thing, but stating so on a public site like TAI can be misleading for its audience.

It makes sense, but it means a lot of work.

We can begin with the rattlesnakes.

Oh no rush, just a 'thinking out loud' suggestion.

Just made my first edit in TAW. I thought I could quickly change the Eikoh fur seal to a Steller sea lion. (I am pretty sure it is meant to be one, because Eikoh says it's a "Todo" and is up to 1000 kg.) Not so quick, because I made a real mess of it. I thought I should not just rename the figure but also the page name, but this caused me a lot of trouble. On the surface of it, it now all seems to look right, but there are still redundant redirect pages in the system that I don't know how to remove:

Oh, we have a few good editors on TAW that never ventured in such tasks and their work is quite valuable.
We all started having some troubles to find the exact way to make things but that's the normal process when we are learning.
Everything is very well done and some left redirect pages are not a problem. I use to delete all useless but they don't hurt when left behind.
You find the option delete in the same place as the option to move but you can also use the keys alt+shift+d and confirm. If you want to try it, the redirect page is still there.

Thanks, Rogério. I don't see the delete option and alt+shift+d doesn't work. Perhaps you have different editing permissions? I read that "Normal and sysop users cannot permanently delete a wiki page".

I have different permissions indeed although I am not sure which ones. Perhaps that's the reason. I will delete the redirect page then.
However, when you move a page, you have a checkbox that you can use to avoid the system from creating redirect pages. Also, if you left the redirect page without any page linking to it, I will delete it soon or later once I check often the called "orphaned pages". Keep your great work.

Those are the same thing, you are just using a more up-to-date taxonomy than I had :).

But now that I see that I question my original ID, thinking Benthocodon hyalinus might make more sense!

It is Susanne's picture. I remember that Susanne uploaded hundreds of pictures during the time this one was entered and she surely hadn't noticed it.
After her sabbatical, I think it can only be fixed using one of your pictures. I doubt Kiki owns it.

Job is done, thanks! Since Susanne used to be the usual editor of Schleich in these last years but she is not anymore collecting most of them. It is being hard to keep all the work once Schleich takes a lot of time. We wished we had a Schleich dedicated editor.
