| Tremendous repaints! Will you ever consider to repaint the new CollectA common zebra? |

Thank you, Roger. I have posted the repainting of CollectA Grevy's zebra on the forum before. As to the common zebra, I am disappointed about its funny anatomical structure. If you look from the front, the body joints of the two front legs are just too apart, which is the same problem of the bongo antelope. I wonder if it's because of the standing stability issue. But I admit that they both look really good from the side. For this reason, I haven't felt like repainting the common

| Interesting observation. With all my collecting vicissitudes, I ended without a single common zebra of a major brand. I was thinking to get the new CollectA common zebra but now I need to check it better. Otherwize, I have to find again one of Schleich zebras from the previous generation. [/quote] I send some photos below to show my points better. Anyway, this is only my personal view point. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Thanks a lot for your photos! I really recognize some good points in that zebra, it is really a good figure in my opinion. However, I must agree the way the legs are spread are quite inelegant. There are two basic ways to turn a figure more stable in terms of balance, spreading the legs or thickening them. CollectA's pvc is usually also more prone to bending than Schleich's. It is also not because of the pvc formula but also because CollectA herbivores have often more delicate legs under a more massive body, typical to this kind of animals. My CollectA okapi legs used to bend under the body just because of its own weight. I confess I like better to see some delicate legs but the zebra is really exagerated in this regard. I will probably go for a Schleich zebra. |

I get you. My collectA mountain Nyala has the same leg bending problem. The material is too soft. |

| I think is a question of stability. A live animal have a sense of equilibrium and muscles to compensate the inclination. But a plastic figure of course not. Do you imagine a stork or flamingo resting on one leg without base, made into figurine? _________________ My collection:- (Details):

Understandable about what you said. But again, comparing with many other items in photos below, the CollectA with reputation in four-legs herbivore, the Common Zebra and Bongo are such a pity for being not good enough..... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I think I share your thoughts. They could be so nice if they were more anatomically accurate. _________________ Visit my collection gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Visit my art gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I accept commissions! |
