Mojö 2019 Llama and Cria- a walkaround by A.R.Garcia

Here is a walkaround of the two Mojö 2019 llamas. They were a surprising find- I had no idea they existed!     Both the adult and young one are excellent models. They have very llama-ish expressions that seem to change when viewed from different angles.

Regarding size, I'd say they are a bit on the larger side, so they are a good scale to go with the sheep shown above, large compared to the Schleich alpaca (unless you imagine it as a young one), and not to scale with any camels I know of.

The dimensions (length, width, height) on the figures' tags are: Adult- 10.5x3x10.5 cm, Cria- 6.5x2x8.5 cm.

Also, I think these are great candidates for customizing into guanacos, as their fur is not super-thick and the sculpting shows a good resemblance.

I hope you enjoy the pictures. These two were, of course, unplanned additions for me, but I highly recommend them.

Interesting, I had not realized Mojo released llamas this year. And I agree with the lighter coats they make good candidates for 'wild types'. Papo is releasing a llama, which I was going to get for my Synoptic Collection

EDIT: Sorry, Papo is putting out an alpaca, not a llama. I have the Safari llama. I might replace it with this one, as the Safari one is so big!!!

They are not in the new 2019 catalogue nor did they released any photos of these two.
Where did you find these? Maybe they are special releases, I have no idea.
Also the labels are different from the normal plastic band they put on their models.

Very nice photos. I saw some in my local Hobby Lobby and almost picked them up. Your photos show how nice they are... maybe I'll have to go back and pick them up...

Thanks everyone. Karin, I also found them at Hobby Lobby (the only place I've personally seen Mojo for sale). I briefly scanned the animal figures while walking by, and did a double take because these were next to the similarly colored sheep! I assumed the labels were just changed to a simpler design... I guess we'll find out if it is applied to others going forward.

Blaine, I see the Papo alpaca is in the STS banner- it looks nice and fluffy. I wonder what the size will be compared to these two?

Sorry, I don't see any six digit codes on the labels that resemble Mojo item numbers, only a batch number and a seven digit number near the price (probably retailer-specific).

What is stamped on the bottom of the figures? Can you show us a direct view of the belly with the lettering, etc.?

Here's a view of the bellies, showing: MOJO 2019, Designed in the UK, Made in China, 7-'19 (on the date stamp), with a 1 on the baby and a 2 on the adult.

Mojo hasn't really done any special editions (to my knowledge). I'd imagine it was originally planned for next year or is a late release. But still these guys are great so I hope to find a pair!

Yes, that is the case, I just asked Mojo about that. They are available now in Hobby Lobby only. But they will be included in Mojo 2020 catalog

I just bought these for my own collection. They are my favorite llamas next to the old Schleich one. Really impressed with these guys!

It is also a surprise for me, I had no idea Mojö have released llamas.
The walk around is excellent and the figures are quite nice and coerent with Mojö style.
It is not the first time Mojö Fun cooperates with Hobby Lobby. They did it already in the past making some figures that in a first stage are exclusively available in Hobby Lobby stores being later introduced in Mojö's regular range.
The first example I remember is their puma.

Nice models, a bit too static for me but I can't see a real competitor in modern brands except the Papo llama which is a guanaco.
