I didn't know the first thing about dinosurs before I found this forum.
Thought they were all sort of big t-rex-lizards

Then an e-bay seller gave me a free Bullyland-andrewsarchus, with an informative tag on, and the forum probably had a good laugh because of my delight to find it was not a dino, but a mammal.
Bully's prehistoric "museum-line" models tought me a lot, and then I found Starlux...and Safari..and Papo and , and, and...books, and

Me too! I've always loved dinos, and collected them before any other animals. Even as a small child. I still get them when I can.
I landed here instead of the dino forum because I found forums when I was researching goldfish figures. That is probably a fine place, but people here are so nice I never left. There are plenty of dinosaur and other prehistoric animal collectors here, so make yourself at home!

Dinosaurs are the main focus of mine.

I am very late to this topic, but I collect almost exclusively ancient animals and plants (Paleozoic and Mesozoic). Technically, most aren't true dinosaurs, but many are.
