| Recently ordered the Papo 55007 Stegosaurus model and its just arrived but I am a little disappointed with it. As advertised on many retailers sites inc. Papo the back plates are painted to match the body. However on the model I have received the back plates are plain. Guess this is now the colour scheme - shame they have not updated their stock photos to show this. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Papo has done that relatively often, - at least in the earlier days. Especially the horses came with various paintworks. In recent years they tend to be shown in the catalogue, if the colour changed, but the green Stego has not got a new picture ( except for the new, completely different colour variation , item no 55079) Here is my stego : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Did you buy it in a shop ? And in case you did, were the others like it ? It could be a manufacturing error, and thus be a great collector's error |

| I feel like Papos paint schemes for all the dinos has been variable over the years (I dont mean separate item paint job updates as susanne mentioned). I have 3 spinosaurus models and they are all a little different from each other, and not just hand painted differences as would be expected. I'm sorry you are disappointed, the plate and body paint should have at least been blended better. Perhaps you could complain to the regional supplier? That worked for me when the paint washed off of one of my spinos legs (a production malfunction/fault of the figure itself). _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. Amazon UK have sent me another model but its the same. Someone mentioned that the paint work on the first store model was discontinued in 2013 and this is the new paint work. I guess I am most disappointed by the fact that no Papo retailers (or indeed Papo themselves) have updated their sales pictures So it is not a mistake !!! I agree, that they should change the photo in the catalogues !!! Actualæly they should not only change it, but also give it a new item no. The Retailers can't handle it, if they have the same item no. We know that from Safari, how the reatilers have no idea that models have been " improved" ( or whatever fancy word they call it ) |

| Papo does this a lot and it is known for the first batch to look like the catalogue photo, later batches have less detailed paintwork.
Happens with dinosaurs, big cats and some other wild life as well. Paint work is simplified yet the catalogue photo stays the same.
