Your sables worked out great Harriet!
The only little thing i would like to say, is that the legs on the male are a little bit chubby, but maybe i am mistaking...
I don't like to bring somebody's work down in anyway, specially when i even never tried to make a model for myself.
The colouration is great for that, and yes, there are some sub-species, so the colour can be darkbrown, lightbrown or even black, so no problem there girl!
And the size seems to be perfect to by the way.
Now you need moulds indeed...

Thanks Willy, you are correct there is a problem with the legs, the photos magnify this as it doesn't look that bad in real life. I'm glad the colouring is fine.

I had to make a new account, I was WingedWickett. Those are great btw, but I'm looking into painting a schleich horse to look like my filly, is there any special kind of something you use or do that I could learn from you??

Thanks! Sure, I might be able to help or you could ask Sylvia because she repaints horses, I haven't repainted any horses really.
I use acrylic paint myself, but there are other things you can use to repaint horses, I think some people use pastels.
