I was curious about the brown slender fish in the center that looks superficially like a mudskipper

the larger one in front looks like a knock-off (alternative paint?) of the Play Visions mandarin fish.

Yes my friend.
For many years, I was looking for the mandarin fish of Playvisions and couldn't find it, so I bought the knock-off.
Two years later I got it and now I have both.
Really the  knock-off's paint is very bad.

It's not a knockoff. The sculpt is different in many details. Notice:
-Eyes not prominent
-Mouth more open and lips thicker
-Scales where it should be the opercle (only preopercle marked)
-Preopercle without slit
-More rounded pectoral fin
-Different shape of pelvic fin
-Anal fin taller and shorter
-First dorsal fin less deeply notched
-Second dorsal fin with more dense rays
-Second dorsal fin differently shaped in rear end
-Caudal fin shorter and with wider rays

that is the very definition of a knock-off

A knock-off doesn't have to be an exact copy of a sculpt, it can also be heavily copied/influenced from it. This figure was clearly copied from the PV

The colorfull fishes are especially interesting

Ah, thanks dear Blaine, I tought that a knock-off is just the same mould sold by another company. Thanks for make me learn something new.
