|
No problem at all. They are more used in Europe than in Africa. :) I was only able of remembering it not because I'm able of recognise a breed but some horse figures are unforgetable! :) I also adore the old Schleich Icey for example! :)
Yeah... old island is great but this new version is... weird [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]vs. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] _________________ My webside / my collection / my youtube channel / my facebook / my instagram / my twitter

| Yes,, Martin! This one! I received mine from Susanne and it has a natural movement. Anyway I cannot judge the quality of a horse figure, it is merely a question of personal taste and the old one looks nicer. I'll not talk of morphology, but the movement of the old figure makes sense, seeing the more natural mane, tail and the detail of the back paw turned. The new one shows a weird mane that looks the horse is in a hard movement, but the remaining details looks the horse is in a softer movement. I cannot explain it better! There's a revivalism touch in the new figure that didn't worked, I guess! :) I think you are using the continent of origin of the horses, so as well as Africa would be better for the Berber, the Europe is correct to use with the Icelandic. Even the Berber is more popular in Europe and Icey in USA? |

normal Breyer size or smaller? Breyer Stablemate horses are in 1:32 scale (5,5 cm on average). I'm nor sure if there are heavy breeds in 1:22 (1:24) scale, only hacks, I'm afraid. However, you may have a look here- identifyyourbreyer.com - at least with the models that go in those scales they are accurate. |
