| Yes,they can be expensive now.I managed to keep them from my childhood and managed to find 2(Scots pine and Copper beech) in the past few years that weren't too expensive! |

| The Britains trees are wonderful! I have a few and should collect more, but yes, they are expensive now and so I usually end up buying another animal model instead. Great that you still have the (signed) box with fences. I have quite a few fences too, but I didn't realise there were fences with gates and fencing on top so that the birds can't fly out. My fences aren't so useful because my animals refuse to go in. |

| Wow, what great treasures! I really like the trees especially. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Taylor, that is an interesting and amazing miniature wood you have there. And great that you managed to find them all.
Yes, Britains tree models mint and boxed are highly prized and expensive when found.
Barney Brown's book on Britains Floral Garden also contains superb information regarding these trees.
By luck I found a couple of The Zoo Cage boxes in a collectors shop in the late 1980's when they were cheap. Not the case today.
Thanks for showing these items. _________________ Chris |

| Hi,
I think the tree U call "copper beech" is actually a apple tree with beech leaves. It was originally made with small branches to add hanging under the leaves with small apples om them. The apples was lose and had to be put on on one by one... Yes some of the trees was a bit tough to put to together. The beech was made in two variations ordinary green and copper (more difficult tie find). There is also a Cedar tree, coconut and date palms, a weeping willow + a fir tree in the serie. Britains also made green hedges in their farm series.
