| Lineol has a large number of great horses in its range from around 1906 to 1960. All together there are about 21 horses, foals and one pony. The pony was also available in a second painting variant. So I am happy to have some models in my collection from the III. and IV. generation. First some pictures from horses of the third generation by Lineol. They were made between 1932- 1940. To this generation belongs four models: The grazing horse (no.300), a standing horse (no.301), a trotting horse (no.302) and in addition a standing foal (no.304). Strangely enough, there is no horse model from this time with the number 303. Here they are. I am still hunting for the foal from this generation. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Trotting horse (no.302).[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Again all three models together.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] _________________ Yvette

| Yvette always bring some very special topics! I didn't know there were only 4 horses on 3rd generation. They look pristine and your pictures are beautiful with all the presentation around. I know the IV generation horses are absolute masterpieces, I am eager to see them! Something uninteresting but a strange coincidence. The French car maker Peugeot, released the model 301, 302, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308 and 309. There's a single gap and it is the 303 that was never released. What's weird about tis number? Oh, I hope you consider showing donkeys too. |

Yes Roger, only four models for 3rd generation. Same for 1st generation (no numbers) and also four models for generation II. - Roger wrote:

Interesting Roger! What´s weird ? We have the same for generation II: The grazing horse (no.300), a standing horse (no.301), a trotting horse (no.302) and in addition a standing foal (no.304). All are made from 1920-1932. In generation IV Lineol takes the numbers 200 - 204, 207, 208, 210, 211 and 213. All made from 1940-1960. _________________ Yvette

| Those are really beautiful horse sculpts, Yvette! Legs are not tubes, muscles sculpted in a very subtle way, ribs, ears with tension, natural poses, they are not just hairy girls with 4 legs. I really love them and the best will come next! Thanks also for sharing so beautiful pictures and for providing all these numbers, I will use this topic as reference when editing Lineol horses section on TAW. |

| Really phantastic, to see these old figures. My favorite are the grazing black horses. Congratulations. _________________ FERNANDO http://www.Animalfigures.weebly.com

As always Roger has the creagle eye Yvette, what an absolutely fabulous flock you have there I don't have words to say how much I love them, and how happy I am that you show us in these beautyful photos There is on one that I wouldn't love to own, but perhaps the very old, bay, trotting horse with the Roman nose is my favorite Well, I must not complain, - I have three grazig composition horses,of which one is Marolin, and two I think are Lineol also, and as far as I remember, they are mine thanks to you |
