Bought this book recently and its very good.It has the major zoos of Europe including UK and Ireland. The author has rated his best 3 zoos and also up and coming zoos Each section is devoted to a zoo and lists it facilities,a brief description of the layout,up and coming prolects/improvememts,indoor facilities,a photo of the zoo map and what the author considers the best attractions in the zoo. There are also chapters on conservation and lots of interesting facts about changes in zoo exhibits, footfall, and what zoo has what animals! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Susanne-approx 115 zoos and 7 specialist zoos He hasn't included Safari parks as he says he wanted to stick to traditional zoos and also mentions botanical gardens. 3 are mentioned for Denmark Aalborg Zoo Copenhagen Zoo Odense Zoo The country in the book with the highest number of zoos is Germany.

Ahh, those are the good, old zoos We lived in Aalborg when I was 4 - 6 years old, and I think I can still remember a lot of that zoo. Perhaps I will be surprised if I see it again
