| Happiness is to look for some paper napkins in a drawer, and finding two chocolate boxes Extreme happiness is to discover that they contain some Starlux farm models, which I totally forgot that I had Of course I want to show them to everybody, - first dogs, a cat and a rabbit They are very little model, and some ar tiny, so they were a bit hard to catch, - I hope you can see how charming they are This Kitty is white with black chest, - usually it is the other way round, but I am sure such a cat exists somewhere [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Alsatian dogs : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Perhaps the one lying down was wearing a chain or something ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]English setter : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The next two must be some kind of hounds, - does anybody have a good guess what breed they are ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And a tiny, little rabbit hideng next to a lego block [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| They are wonderful. Thanks so much for showing them. I had seen them before, but never with Lego block and in such great photos. |

| They are beautiful and they have a noticiable Starlux style. I don't know what your dogs are but they remind me the Portuguese Pointer. ;( [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Sorry for double post but the previous is not to be edited. Just after posting, I had a click and I knew I had seen your dogs before. Most interesting is what you suggest as breed. Check here! |

| Very beautiful, Alain! Tey were sold as chien de chasse, weren't they? The seller I bought my JIM fox is selling it as a Epagneul Breton... more a pointer than a Spaniel. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I think from French breeds it looks a lot to me like the Braque du Puy ... a pointer too! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]From French hounds, maybe the most similar I've found is the Black and white houhnd [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Holy Hamster !! Roger you have a brain like a huge computer !!! Caracal, - what a fantastic photo !! So this dog also exists with brown spots Yes, the dogs surely are hounds, - or hunting dogs in British English. Roger, the thing is that there are many breeds braques....and one more beautyful than the other I wonder if they are the French equivalent to British pointer ? Most of them have a specific colour though . That may easily have changed over the years, of course , but perhaps it is most safe just to call them hunting dogs ? |

| Thank you Rogério and Susanne! :) Yes Rogério, these dogs were just sold as "chien de chasse" (hunter dogs) but there were others, cleary setters, spotted or all brown like Irish ones: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Lovely, lovely old models and would agree that the dogs are French hunting hounds of which there are many many breeds! |

| Very beautiful, especially given that they are so small. Especially for a vintage company, the Starlux painting is superb. I can't imagine how they painted large numbers of these figures. I agree that the stork is the highlight!
Although the Starlux human figures are often called 54 mm figures (I think?), they seem to be larger, is that right? |

| I love all of them. I think the Starlux stork, very beautiful, was also sold on Zoo series. I will put it on TAW.Well, it seems I haven't guessed with the dogs although pointers are hunting dogs in my country even if they're not hounds. The Portuguese pointer is a breed as old as Portugal and it was used to hunt wild fowl. However, I always try. One more, couldn't be the fowl on lady's basket a Muscovy duck? | I think you could be right Roger.Muscovies are frequently used in France to produce moulard ducks for the table. |

| Thankyou, friends CRoger, you are right, - it is a Muscovies duck And the stork, - yes, I have no idea what series it is, so I am 100 % sure you are right again and it is in the zoo series Roger also : the lady feeding chickens is 6,4 cm tall, the others are 5,9 cm tall, but without the base probably 5,8 At this scale a couple of mm mean something, so you have a good eye |

| I've seen your stork pictures and added them to the Wild Animals page. It was released in 1969 but I can't find it on 1971 catalogue where only one of the 3 stork sisters can be seen. I think it is the most beautiful stork figure I know. There's also a set with a nest. Some animals, depending of the brand, are either on farm or wildlife series, mostly woodlands. Storks, foxes and swans are a few examples. Starlux use these on Wildlife. I used to interact with Muscovy ducks in a garden in Lisbon where I used to feed geese, people didn't liked them because of their wattles and stumbling style, though, they were very curious and friendly and the first welcoming me anytime I arrived. |

| Ohhh, Roger, thankyou for the kind words about Storkie And there are 4 ...5 ? Starlux storks ? Hmmmmm No, no, no, Susanne Tap, tap, tap... ......Well, there weren't any on Ebay.fr When I was young several people had Muscovy ducks here, because they lay many and very good eggs. But then some people got very ill withs salmonella from eating mayonnaise made with raw duck's eggs, and that was the end of it These days everybody knows better than eating raw eggs ( well, I do, but only if they a less than 2 days old), but the tradition of eating duck's eggs seems to have died out |

| Better not to think what is going to happen to the Muscovy duck in the basket.
What kind kind of duck are the green, brownish and grey ones? Or are they geese? |
