Hartland horses

Hartland is great, I really like their products. I don't collect big horses but have many of the farm animals.

Again, you're building a very interesting topic. These last are very beautiful. I suppose the small one is slightly smaller than Stablemates, isn't it?

Some wonderful models!!The rider is form the Lone Ranger is his companion Tonto and Lone Rangers horse was called Silver.The Palomino with the rein-Roy Rogers horse Trigger?if this company was big on making cowboy figures and horses?

Unfortunately there is not much information to be found about hartland horses. There is an identifying book available, but I don't own it.
Here are the next ones - they are called woodcuts and are made to look like they were carved from wood. Perhaps they were not intended as toys but rather decorative objects

This may not make me popular, but I really like these Hartland horses better than the modern Breyrs

It is obvious that some of these horses fear that the dog will bite their tails.  
They are very classy figures and surely decorative and not toys.

Oh, no, Westi ist so well behaved, he will never bite a horse Not even the Tiny Mites that look like a snack compared to him. The Tiny Mites are indeed a little bit smaller than Breyer stablemates

I have been browsing a bit round on various Ebays, but it seems they are hard to find in EU at a sensitive price

( EU only, because Danish import duty applies to everythiong : shipping, VAT, handling cost and whatever they can think of )

Beautiful little snacks. I have a Westie too and that may be the reason why I guessed their size.

Wow, you have sooo many of these beautiful figures
All of them have this so special charm.. I really like them and watching now all great photos, makes me smile. :)

So much love and aestetic sense in all these figures. They're really beautiful with their own style.
Now it is easy to know why Susanne can't find them on Ebay...

But Susanne wants to find them in Europe and that is really hard. I got most of mine from the US. And there are actually still some (or some more) available

I do remember playing with some Hartlands as a small child, but none have survived until now. My family was one of those that threw away my toys when they thought I should need them no longer. And they wondered why I skipped school on garbage pickup days...
