| I picked up the tiger and lion recently and became curious about their origin, so I figured I might as well see if anyone here knows anything. The leopard and hippo seem like they may also be from the same or similar company, so I threw them in as well. The tiger and lion are hollow, while the leopard and hippo are hard, solid plastic. On a side note, is that lion not the most terrifying thing you've ever seen in your life? It looks like a freaking sleep paralysis demon. I'll definitely be adding him to my growing collection entitled 'cursed figures' to be shared at a later date. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| You are right !!! That lion is absolutely horrifying The tiger rings a tiny bell deep down in my memory But that is a close as I can get to identifying the brand , - sorry It is great that you picked these oldies up ! Nobody can call them beautyful, but they are interesting, and they have surely given some little boy(s) a lot of fun |

| Many animal themed brands were operating at the USA market during these years. Your tiger reminds me the style of the Imperial tiger. Check below the 1986? version from Vallérie's collection. These use to be marked as on picture below. I will try to check better but maybe Kelly or Vallérie know it better. About your lion, don't get scared, I was watching yesterday again the most disturbing movie of ever, "The Exorcist" and I think your lion got the bug. The lion has too many teeth, but the hippo's eyes are demonic!
I <may> have a couple of those animals, but can't get to my storage area at this time. |
