I picked these two figures up at the La Brea Tar Pits gift shop last year, and while they're not my favorite figures in terms of design, I was really intrigued that I hadn't seen them before. They're large figures with a soft plastic exterior and soft foam interior, very similar to Recur animals. The wolf seems to be based on the howling Safari Ltd wolf, but the smilodon doesn't look like any other figure I've come across. The wolf is the larger of the two (as well as the largest plastic wolf figure I currently own), and the weird length and shape of its back legs means that when standing on its own it's always leaning to the side. On a side note, these are the first walkarounds I'm doing with my new camera. My original camera and lens are now for sale on Ebay if anyone is interested [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Very, very interesting models, and great walkarounds/comparisons It seems that these soft models are becomming more common. Bullyland used to have the "Soft Play" range, but otherwise there were none....or at least : I didn't know of any

They are interesting figures, but I really don't like the soft figures. The smilodon would be nice copied as a smaller harder model.
