Mojo 2020 - Masai Giraffe

Here is the new Mojo Giraffe model .

Mojö 381008 - Giraffe Male

And officially, Mojo named it : Masai Giraffe

And let me tell you , this model has sooo wonderful, and so many skin, and muscles sculpted details ..
which unfortunately , you can`t see on my photos .. not only , because my camera is not good enough..,
but also, because the paint work of the skin pattern, also makes it difficult.
But on person, believe me, you will be very nice surprised

A beautyful, wonderful giraffe

Looks good and thanks for the beautiful comparison photos. How tall is the Mojo? Based on your Lego block, I'd say 17.3 cm, but the block is so much smaller than the giraffe that the margin of error of my calculations is quite large.

Wonderful Kosta for providing us another fantastic walk around about a very antecipated model. I really like a lot this giraffe figure and it is great to know that Mojö gave atention to sculpt details often neglected in giraffes exactly because their patterns use to blind everything.
I really want ti for my collection and I am happy Mojö decided for a Masai instead of a reticulated. Though, I wished the spots were painted down to the hooves, all that white on lower legs is more common on Rothschild's giraffes.

This is the only Mojo 2020 figure I bought other than the scorpion :). I agree with Roger, though, it needs more color down the legs.

Yes, the sculpt details was a really nice surprise to me :) I am so angry to my camera, that it doesn`t let me to show it to you
The fact is , that this Mojo model has so much more sculpt details that the Papo one ... which is a big surprise :)
I even taught : Wait, is that Anna`s sculpt .. ?!?
Or if it`s not Anna, it must be a new sculptor for Mojo ... it is very different than the other Mojo models.. I mean, I am use to , that Mojo doesn`t present so highly detailed models ( except Anna`s models..)
This one is highly detailed :)

Yes, we can use it easily as a Rothschild's giraffe and that's nice once these are rarer.
We are always talking about ecotypes once there are variations between specimens representing the same subspecies. Especially Rothschild's that hybridize a lot. It is also not so easy to see clearly the differences between a Masai and a Rotschild's, actually these creamy socks are the most distinctive feature. To turn it even more complex, reticulated giraffes also ocur in Kenya, together with the two subspecies previously mentioned and the latter also have the lower legs without spots. I am really happy we are discussing such little details about a figure what is fantastic! About the sculptor, I think there are a few very good sculpts not made by Anna, namely the wild boar, maybe the sculptor is the same.

Mr Wikipedia says: The Rothschild's giraffe is easily distinguishable from other subspecies. ... However, when compared to the Masai giraffe, the Rothschild's ecotype is paler, the orange-brown patches are less jagged and sharp in shape, and the connective channel is of a creamier hue compared to that seen on the reticulated giraffe.

I don`t know ... both models, giraffe and wild boar I like very much, but they are so different as sculpting style , so it is difficult to say.

For sure, I don`t know any other Mojo model, which is with a similar sculpting style, like this Giraffe.

Well, whatever it is, it is a good news. Let's see what future Mojö releases bring to this hobby. I am eager to put my hands in one of these giraffes.
