So there doesn’t seem to be very much information about this brand, I believe they come from China and they all seem to be marked with the letters PEC. I would love more information about this brand and or to see owners pics of these unusual figures if anyone has any I’m most interested, and am searching for, the striped hyena figure and this figure I just saw that that the owner called a hyena, if anyone knows for sure if this is a hyena that would be helpful also:D (Not my photo) I searched the forum but I didn’t see an existing thread for this maker if there is an existing thread or if this is in the wrong place please let me know _________________ i s a b e l l a

It is actually not a bad model with the sloping bak, short tail and long neck. Actually, if only the ears were more correct, it would clearly be a spotted hyena Congratulations with your new model OF course Andreas has some of those also _________________ SUSANNE

@widukind I love your turtles Andreas @Susanne I agree, I think considering that PEC isn’t very correct with their animal anatomy this figure is pretty clearly a hyena:D unfortunately it is not mine, but fingers crossed I hopefully will be able to find one for myself soon _________________ i s a b e l l a

There's not much information about PEC indeed. Our editing at the Toy Animal Wiki is basically based on figures we find marked PEC. There's no spotted hyena listed, only a striped hyena you can see below. These figures are quite inaccurate and often, even simple animals are hard to identify. They seem to be inspired in some Play Visions or Safari Authentics. This model is not surely inspired on PV spotted hyena but actually it is not that different from the PEC striped hyena.

@Roger Right, I first saw the striped hyena on the wiki, and I didn’t know that they made a spotted hyena until I saw the one I posted above, both types seem very rare to me:/ hopefully I will still be able to find them for my collection at some point. I definitely agree that the figures are not very well done and hard to identifyXD @Susanne The one Roger showed is the PEC striped hyena, you can see it on the wiki:) I agree with Roger that the two PEC hyenas don’t look like copies off PV but that a lot of the PEC figures do. If anyone has any other figures from PEC I would live to see them, despite the inaccuracies of these figures I feel quite charmed by themXD _________________ i s a b e l l a

I understand you Isabella. In my foxes collection there isn't anything enough inaccurate to be avoided in my collection. Also, these are very small figures and I agree they have their own charm. I have a PEC red fox in my collection but it is on TAW too.

I’m glad you understand Roger:) I think your fox collection is all the better for having such an amazing array of styles and levels of accuracy! I love that little face, and the pose is very cute, wonderful figure Roger! <3 _________________ i s a b e l l a

Thanks Susanne and Isabella! This model, for instance, bears some similarities with the Play Visions. Though, it is not a copy neither a mirrored version, just inspired. :)

@Roger you can definitely see the inspiration they had from PV when making their fox:D It’s interesting that some of the figures they copied and some they just did their own (albeit inaccurate) interpretation _________________ i s a b e l l a
