Visayan animal figures 2020

I undertook to make the emblematic species of a region of the world the Philippines exactly visayas.

At the Mulhouse zoo I saw Prince Albert's deer, so cute!
But in danger that's why I embarked on this creation for my Arche

Prince Alfred's deer has been classified since 2012 as “endangered” due to the still active destruction of the forests where it lives. However, it still remains in "islands" of forests that are still unexploited because of a steep drop in height and difficult access for vehicles.

This species has been bred in Mulhouse since 1990. The Park is also a pioneer in the establishment of the European breeding program (EEP) and in conservation work in its region of origin. The Philippine archipelago is one of the "hotspots" for biodiversity and the environment is particularly degraded.

To date, 27 European zoos participate in the breeding program, but in the wild the very impoverished populations (just a few hundred) are still in decline.

What a lovely model of a beautyful deer !
I never even heard about this deer before

It has the famous Luc-look, and I admire how you can make it be so clearly this species

I suppose that you will do a Visayan warty pig next?

Despite being so common in zoos and famous, I still never saw an Alfred's deer. I hope to change that some day.

Axis is a custom house, the base is a schleich and the woods are nested towards the back
I hope you will see a spotted deer one day soon!
And yes pardefolis I started a visayan warty pig, it is advancing with great strides it remains to do details!

Ohhh I would love one day to have a visayan warty pig in my collection!
