| It is really a useful picture. This poor serval has received so much criticism but it is actually a decent model and servals can be as tall as Eurasian lynxes. Caracals are slightly shorter but not that much. I enjoy seeing them together . |

| Thank you very much. I wasn't concerned about size, but rather the 'face'. It's not smirking as in the promo pics, so that's great for me! :) |

| You are welcome. I also think, that the model looks much better in real. |

| I'm not a fan of how Schleich looks so "plastic" now.. But I don't have a caracal and the face on this one looks better than the promo pics. I do love the size though. Sadly the Beautyofthebeasts caracal retired before I knew about it. I think the Schleich will be good for now. I didn't realize the serval was so poorly received.. I think its a great model. Not the masterpiece that is their Clouded leopard but I still love the serval, I think it just needs a repaint _________________ Jolie

| Congratulations! The caracal is quite nice, only the boxy feet bother me. Congratulations on all 3 newbies! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Thank you both. I love nudibranchs but it's very hard to get some models of these wonderful animals. |

| Today, I've found two new Papo models in my favourite shop. It's the Seahorse and the Flying squirrel. I decided to use the squirrel as a Northern flying squirrel and the Seahorse as a New Holland Seahorse ( Hippocampus whitei: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Thank you, everyone. My only problem is the lack of space @Blaine: I'm also waiting for all the newcomers from CollectA and Papo:) |

| The species identification is somewhat facultative, I guess. It could be a Southern flying squirrel and a Hipocampus kuda instead. Two great choices. |

The squirrels could go either way, it's impossible to separate them on a toy because the features separating them is impossible to demonstrate in a toy. The seahorse was most-certainly modeled after H. kuda, but I think it's simple enough a collector can call it whatever they want |

Contrarily to some figures that mix different features from different species. |
