Grey fox repaint

Hi!
Yesterday I bought the new Schleich red fox, which I have never liked, and transformed it into a grey fox

I looks a little bit better in real life. I hope you like it!

Wonderful paint. But to be a really good grey fox, it needs a longer tail :)

I saw gray foxes once in Florida. From a distance I saw these bizarre animals scampering up a tree. From a distance I was like, what are those large squirrel-like things LOL. As I got closer, I saw they were young grey foxes; the long tails were deceiving. The mom was teaching them to climb (grey foxes are one of only two canids that can truly climb trees!)

Elongating the tail is my job for this afternoon!
However, I only have super sculpey, so it will remain soft /:

Here it is, proud of his new tail.
The shape is not perfect because the original tail was curved and adding an extra piece in the same direction was not possible (it wouldn't stand right). If it wasn't already repinted I wouldn't have had problems cutting that part of the tail but...
But I'm happy with the result. I even managed to cook the paste without destroying the model. Any more advices are wellcome.
Besides, as this is adictive, do you have any other easy transformation in mind??

Wonderful new tail!

What a good idea! Turning one of the many red foxes into a grey fox. These climbing foxes are so neglected in toy shape, I am waiting for a long time to see one released by Safari for their North American Wildlife. You did a great work and the longer tail is surely a bonus to the final result.

Very nice custom  I often look at all these red foxes thinking how to customised them but it seems I’m too lazy to do the job. I always enjoy less lazy people works. More pics please A walkaround ?

Very good job on this fox model.
When I got this model, I saw potential ... I like the face.It is very ''foxy'' face.
Now, with your changes and good repainting , looks very nice and also unique as a grey fox :)

That is such a wonderful upgrade, it looks so much better than the original.
I hesitated regarding that model due to the awkward smile the original paint application usually has but you made it look so elegant with this species conversion.

Yes, too bad it was made using dark magic.
