| Great newcomers Andreas, the two pheasants are they from Erzgebirge /Thüringen ? Can you show a closer photo please ? _________________ Yvette

| Thank you for the reference to your homepage. I found the birds there. It looks like they are really figures from the Erzgebirge or Thüringen. Age is around 1930 - 1950 ? The are definitely not by Elastolin. These Elastolin birds have a base and are also more massive. For the Erzgebirge animals, there is often no manufacturer with a "brand name". They were often made by very small "family businesses" and then sold to larger traders or at markets, again without a known "company." Nowadays these bird figurines are hard to find. We could start a topic only with these Erzgebirge birds, what do you think? _________________ Yvette

| Do you know the brand for the diplocaulus? Those pheasants are simply gorgeous... _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. But only a pic with less informations. I work in the Area Vorerzgebirge and on Christmas markets are many , also old, companies. But nobody have more informations. I also asked sometimes in there too. My local collector friends, really experts with longtime experiences, dont know the figures. In the book "Massefiguren aus dem Erzgebirge" - nothing. I think i will went to the toy museum Erzgebirge soon, but i heard there are no bird figures. It is really strange. The only new old bird is made by Marolin. Here is my Erzgebirge topic :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I like the idea of a bigger Erzgebirge topic :)
