| I like some of them very much, Andreas! Are they made of the traditional pvc? ... and their size, is it like Eikoh? These are not the same but look at the selection of animals, they are the same. Maybe this is a kind of minis. The panda looks similar. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Ohh wow these animals are very nice, and that Tiger has a lovely pose! That Gorilla has lots of detail too, and I also love how each model represents the species recognisably- it's a wonderful series! |

| Yes, it is easy to see which is your favorite. I see they provide generic data for gazelles but what do you think it represents? Is it a chincara? An Indian gazelle? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] # Yes, it could be. With the Bovids book it was also the best match i think. Ricardo thinks it is a chiru. But i dont think so. I think that serie is inspired by a real zoo, so i hope that we can find out it. |

| Yes, the gazelle and tiger are great. What is hiding behind the elephant?
I used to think that Ani Zoo was a precursor to Ania, but it probably isn't. Are the Ani Zoo animals still being produced? There doesn't seem to be any information on TAW. |

| This series is really puzzling me. Your tiger looks more like the photo with minis I provided than with the official picture of the website you linked. Here is the tiger on your link. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Edit: If those minis I linked are ANIZOO, these are also. I believe the Ocean set has a few interesting species. | That tiger is just a photo of an actual tiger The donkey and horse in photo E (titled 'poultry' despite being mostly mammals!) are CollectA's moulds, I think the tube/mini versions of their standard scale sculpts. |

Ocean set and insects are also CollectA minis. It is important to tell that the set pictures are not from AniZOO series website but they were not marketed as CollectA either. Minis are always so misterious, it seems they are often manufactured to many brands. About the tiger, it seems they used real animal pictures, we can even see the hanging hairs in the African lion pic. I'm not surprised anymore they seemed too realistic. But what to say about the picture of the gazelle or this zebra? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I don't know whether this helps: here is a photo of several boxes. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And an example of an Ania box, which looks suspiciously similar. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Both are Japanese and the figures seem to have a similar size. I still feel that they may be the same company. Is it possible that Ania used to be called Ani Zoo before it was taken over by Takara? |

| No, AniZOO is no related with Takara Ania. AniZOO is miniature size line for Recur animals (where the normal line is "slightly" oversized in comparison with common brands). There were two ZOO animal sets released. |

| Well, things are starting to make sense now even if I still have a few doubts. Thanks Jarda and Roger, Recur seems the AAA of modern days. Here is one of the set with just 6 figures, probably the 2nd set countains the remaining ones. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
