Tekula the Ethiopian wolf

Ever since I saw how amazing Lilias (Bonnie) had done sculpting on dog breeds and Susanne's aardwolf: Biscuit, I knew I had to commission a figure.

I decided on the Ethiopian wolf as it isn't represented whatsoever in branded figures, critically endangered and also because it is so very beautiful!

Me and Lilias spent a few days considering names for her, and finally settled on Tekula (Ethiopian for wolf) which was very fitting! She fits in very well with my other figures as she's only a tad longer than the Papo wolf female.

I cannot thank you enough Lilias, she's astonishing!

Hurray, I'm so glad she arrived safely and you love her so much! She was a joy to make, thank you so much for commissioning her, it really helps to raise money for Pebble's charity! And I love any opportunity to practise sculpting animals other than dogs! I can't see the photos yet either but I'm sure she is SO happy in her new home, a collection is the best place for her! And thank you for giving me permission to share some of the photos I took of her during the sunny days in March (sorry, I didn't realise there were so many! ) , here they are:

I wished you could afford more of Bonnie's works. She is really such a talent and I am sure with more commissions seh could keep improving these precious skills and venture into other less canine projects.

Wow, an incredible sculpture! Beautiful work, @Bonnie, you have so much skill. That's an excellent and dynamic pose and such great texture and flow to the fur. The paint work compliments her excellently, she really does represent the species well. I'm very impressed!

Oh I've missed so much in my time away! Bonnie you clever thing! What excellent work! It's very hard to find lifelike replicas of any species, and even then paint jobs are a bit questionable, so that makes customs like this so much more special. You must be very happy with your new figurine!
