| An African elephant! The Majors had not produced one since 2017. At the time, it was Papo who had taken on the task. As for Mojo, the last African elephant dated back to 2015. This year, the company produced a few models that were already well reviewed on STS. This elephant is today the object of hope but also of fears. For me the problem is now solved, I was full of hope and desire and I am fulfilled. Trumpeting elephants was a very solid tradition among the XXth century brands and it is fun to see again that vintage touch. Considering an elephant bull shoulders height is between 3 and 4 meters (with an average of 3,20 meters) this figurine could match a 1/29 to 1/38 scale, with an average at 1/31. I will show comparison pics with some of my 1/30 and 1/35 African animals ( I know Roger no 1/32 ) Okay, let’s walkaround in pictures.

| Fabulous walkaround! At this point I can only say that I like him. My final decision will be when he reaches the shops here and if CollectA has nothing new or even better to show. Thanks for this presentation! |

| Wonderful walkaround! Wow, you found the purple rectangular mole-rat! This is such a rarity with such unusual colouring, must be a very special model in your collection! Look at all that detail! I love how your photos are from all angles, and a lovely selection of comparison photos too, I never knew the Bullyland elephant was so amazing! And it's also nice to see it compared with animals at the same scale, because you can imagine how the elephant would look in real life next to those other species! Such a big size difference! |

| Thanks for this Christophe, it has shown the beauty in this figure, and I cannot resist buying him! No more elephants, no more elephants! _________________ ADAM "Our planet is in crisis. | We were all waiting for it! Not only your walk around but an African elephant that would represent a decisive turn in the orientation of the way these animals are designed. No short chubby legs anymore neither gigantic heads. It causes a very positive impression on me, I am eager to have one in my hands. The texture is not exaggerated as some brands used to do lately, even Mojö did it. It is perfect for me. The proportions seem quite correct and the features of the species also are apparently correctly represented. I wished these tusks were more pointy and with a dirtier color. Maybe they could also give more movement to that tail but that's not a wrong thing. Your walk around is a treasure with all these comparisons, who would guess you'd present a Miniland among them? This model has clearly my approval with distinction. |

| I have held off on getting elephants for a bit because I haven't been able to decide which ones I like. I have the newer and old Schleich elephant bull but I don't really like them all that much, too small for my taste and I feel like the proportions are all wrong. This looks like a large model! I don't have that eofauna deinotherium, but I have the straight-tusked elephant (which I absolutely love) is about the same size as that figure? If so I really like the size of this model. And all the proportions look really good too. I may just have to pick this model up _________________ Jolie

| Thanks for the comparison photos. I think, it´s one of the best current models and I will add it to my list. To bad, that you don´t have a comparison photo with the Mojo Fun Asian Elephant. I just purchased it, and hope it will fit with it´s african cousin later |

| @spacelab: I really hope CollectA won't make a better one soon, I don't want to spend all my money in plastic modern elephants @Bonnie:Indeed Purple rectangular Mole-rats are even rarer than cubic green ones . The Bullyland elephant first generation is a very nice big model, only the ears are a bit off, especially on a rear view. I love to show and make pics with animals in scale, it's always helpful to remember what is really too big or too small and for what @LukaLeon085: Thank you, it deserves your nice words. @Advicot Go for it And I agree: No more elephants, no more elephants! @Roger: I don't have a lot of occasions to compare something with a Miniland elephant, I think this time it was the right elephant in the right place @Joliezac: I absolutely don't like the Schleich elephants for the same reasons, no matter how hard the brand works, these absurd proportions ruin my pleasure every time. A pic with a Straight-tusks elepant for you @widukind:I agree ! @Duck-Anch-Amun: I'm sorry I don't have the Mojo Asian elephant but I heard about it too much these days, I'm affraid I will have to buy one soon |

| I need an african elephant in my collection, at the moment I have an old AAA trumpeting model that does not suit me. I like this model, but I'm still holding out hope for an absolute masterpiece by CollectA . If not, this model will likely be my top choice. I already have decided Mojo's asian elephant will be my representative, so a pair would not be too bad of an option. _________________ Always looking for new species

| Amazing photos, as always. I notice that your elephant also has his front legs slightly bent inwards. I wondered whether my elephant's legs were bent during transport or packaging, but perhaps it's how it was intended. What brand are the buffalo and aardvark in the 1/30 scale photo? |

| Thanks! I recognise the aardvark now. I'd been wondering for a long time what scale it was. |

| Wonderful walkaround, Christophe! I enjoyed those photos a lot Especially the groups of animals in scale. If I needed a new elephant I would certainly consider this Mojo one _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| For me the most interresting modern African elephants are the Mojo and the Eikoh, they are very appealing in their own way. |

| I'm sticking with my 1997 Safari sculpt (albeit updated paint job), but IF I had to replace it, this would be the one! |

| The first one is the Eikoh, it is a Japanese model. It isn't easy to find but you may ask @Brettnj. The second is the Papo 50010 Elephant cow, she is retired since 2016 but it is stillpossible to find her on eBay. The third is the Bullyland 63573 African elephant, retired since 2013. Bully produced the 63685 which is a slightly smaller copy of this one. The last one is the Lineol IV African elephant. retired in 1960. It is a toy made in composite material not in PVC or plastic. You can find some on eBay.de ain the Antike Masse- & Kunststoff-Figuren section or at Animalking-Figurenshop |

What wonderful elephants you have Christophe! I really like your group photos, that is a very impressive buffalo! it looks huge beside the waterbuck and others. I have never seen it before! And the bongo looks very beautiful in this setting. What a very nice combination you have laid out. The elephant seems to fit perfectly in both groups:D |
