| Most of us were probably delighted when learning that Schleich - of all brands ! - is launching a model of this charming animal this year Fortunately the post system was fast, because it was hard to wait from I ordered it from Germany, until it arrived here in the middle of nowhere in Denmark So as I was asked for photos , I am delighted to show you a walkaround Going through my pictures of Lori , I became double happy : I am very, very near sighted, and my powerful glasses make things smaller, so seing the details blown up on the monitor was somewhat of a relevation Sorry if I upload too many pictures, but look at the perfect expression in the little face, and all the details in the fur and paws etc. Please take a look, and hopefully you will share my joy [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]"Am I cute, or am I cute ? | THIS is what Schleich should be making, it looks great in their style. Thank you so much for sharing this model and your joy with us! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | I am so happy you opened this topic. I second Paige's words and that's what I expect from Schleich. If they want to sell cute animals, just release cute animals. It is much nicer when the cute animal is a slow loris instead of a koala. Fennec was also a good choice under this concept even if the result was not as nice. I am really happy with it and I will surely want one in my collection. Well, is anyone trying to suggest a species for this animal? It is for now as a Bengal slow loris on TAW but Susanne and I lean to a Sunda slow loris. Any suggestions? |

None of the slow loris figures to date are marketed at the species level and none of them have enough detail to determine a species (however I would bet they were all based on the Sunda slow loris, esp. the Natural History figure). It's probably best to leave them all at the genus level for TAW and let the collector make their own decision. For me, I have the Natural History figure as a Sunda and the Eikoh as a pygmy, because it's smaller :). I have no intention of getting this Schleich one, however. |

OK, I renamed the page to slow loris once these species are very hard to distinguish. Though, the Naturally Adorkable is listed on TAW as a Bengal loris, I know the box reads the scientific name, you probably don't have the box anymore to confirm it, right? I can also try to search on forum later... |

EDIT: A Bengal makes more sense, since everything in that set (except the 'secret' sloth) is from China! EDIT EDIT: My original post on ATF indicates the manufacturer sold it as a Bengal. I totally forgot LOL. I need to remember to check my own references sometimes |

| Christophe asked for a comparison with the EIKOH loris [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]If this was in Danish, the picture would contain 3 loris, because a loris is called "en lori" in Danish, and so is a lorkeet |

| Luckily for us, this animal already looks adorable by itself, so Schleich didn't have to add braids or a smiley grin to make it look cute. I personally think the figure, over all, could've gotten a little bit more love from the paint department on the fur and feet. Then it would really be a stunner. But we all know life has been crazy for a couple of years unfortunately. We are lucky we are getting new figures for 2022. So I'm very happy with Lori. |

| Seeing that it is a small size makes me love it even more! For some reason I thought it would be much larger. I can't wait to get one! _________________ Jolie

I need to remember to check my own references sometimes Thank you for this conversation :) So, maybe I should add the loris as sunda , as I´ve listed my Natural History figure as Bengal, too :) And after Blaines idea with the Eikoh size, it makes sense for me :) |
