I took advantage of the weather to get out and take some more photos. Really loving the new location I found to take pictures. I saw lots of wildlife today, fence lizards, tadpoles, swans, vultures, and even a painted turtle laying eggs

very nice photos Jolie. I really like how the chameleon blends in perfectly with the green leaves. It's hard to tell that it is a plastic toy

and I just love all these owls! They look fantastic as a family and the tree they are on compliments their feathers perfectly.

And I must say, you have a gift for dinosaur photography in particular. There is just something special about your photos of these dinos, they all come alive and really have a presence in the scenes you set.
I've seen this time and again with your dino pics that you've posted on here. And nearly all of your pics fall into the artist's 1/3 rule, which makes for a comfortable and enchanting picture.

I have to agree with Annette! I was just ready to post that your dinosaur pictures worked especially well when I read her comment. I think you found the right light to many of the dino pictures and also a convincing surrounding. It is a much bigger challenge than photographing the bull frog since it has a perfect size wherever you put it. Fantastic!

It's been very hot here lately and almost daily thunderstorms, but I was able to get some outdoor pictures today

Today was strictly dinosaurs! I had many figures that I wanted to take pictures of before the summer flies by.

Although of course we drove all the way to the trail only for me to realize I forgot my camera My cousin brought hers though and let me use it. I wasn't used to the settings of her camera but I'm still happy with how the photos came out

You did very well Jolie using a camera that you were not familiar with.
It just goes to show, that once you get the basics down right, then any camera can be used as a tool to create your signature dino photos. Well done!

As I said before, you have a very distinct dino style that really stands out. Excellent compositions in them with very good use of background lighting, contrast between light and dark spaces as well as the use of the brightest hues (fresh spring greens) against the darker colours.

These 3 are my favs!
I love the dinos expressions and poses. Lovely to look at, and you can imagine yourself in the scene too.
I really like the tiny one at the end. I think this model is actually really tiny in real life - if I remember correctly?

These photos were inspired by a segment from Prehistoric Planet II. T-rex comes across a sauropod carcass but is confronted by Quetzalcoatlus.

Wonderful pictures! Finally a good puma kitty for that equally beautiful Safari adult.
I like that it is a Grevy's zebra looking after that poor common zebra calf, Grevy's are quite powerful so I'm sure those lions won't have any chance.
The prehistoric scenes are also fabulous. I don't know the reference but I'm sure I will recognize from your pictures if I ever watch it. It's like hyenas and vultures fighting for a carcass.

Beautiful photos again. The Toymany young animals go well with the adults you already had.

You can see the clip from Prehistoric Planet here on YouTube. I loved both seasons of the show but I had to use free trials on Apple TV to watch it. Thankfully some scenes can be found on YouTube
