Lol Chap Mei seems to be a love or hate brand. I love them; I prefer their spirit to the sweet cuddly appearance of many of the newer Schleichs. It's all a matter of taste.

I think the paintwork on the eyes has everything to do with their slightly intimidating appearance!
they look great together though!
maybe they can star in the sequel to the movie with the tough scary girl who has the pink and blue hair in ponytails. I can't remember what it's called but it was pretty intimidating!

The photo of the chimp in the first photo looks like some gangsta rap performer to me. It's his pose and expression. He's just stomping about waving his arms and snarling or sneering at everything.
